TVEIT
Logline: Six generations after Lars Olsen Tveit homesteaded on a small island in Norway, his descendants are spread across continents — yet connected by land, memory, and the enduring thread of family.
Documentary Treatment
AproximateLength: 15 minutes
Tone: Reflective, cinematic, personal, rooted in place and heritage
Themes: Migration, legacy, identity, belonging, land, family continuity
Overview
TVEIT is a short documentary exploring the lineage of the Tveit family, beginning with Lars Olsen Tveit on Karmøy Island, Norway, and tracing the journey of his descendants across the Atlantic to South Dakota — and back again.
Through interviews, landscapes, archival imagery, and quiet observational moments, the film explores how family identity survives across generations, geography, and time.
The story is told through four anchors:
The Original Land — Karmøy Island, Norway
The Lineage — Six Generations of Family
The Migration — Journey to South Dakota
The Living Legacy — Present-day descendants
Some notable examples of my historical documentary work:
The Flight of the Miss Veedol: The first transpacific flight in history, from Misawa Japan to Wenatchee Washington. A story lost to time.
Roslyn Washington: An old coal mining town turned into a tourism destination and the home of a world class winery.
125 years of Campbells Resort: Family owned and operated for 5 generations.

The following is a conceptual outline of the documentary treatment
“A true community is not just about being geographically close to someone or part of the same social web network. It’s about feeling connected and responsible for what happens. Humanity is our ultimate community, and everyone plays a crucial role.”
