I’ve been called a people person. I love the opportunity to hear everyone’s unique stories. I am passionate about how we humans interact and express emotions, and I enjoy opportunities to foster collaboration and creative expression. I like to think of my service to the world as a bridge; to help empower artists to thrive in the business world, and assist linear thinkers with creativity.

I first joined the Voortex team in 2015. My role is to take care of the business so the crew can make films. I manage our projects’ budgets and timelines, write proposals and contracts, communicate with current, past and potential clients, coordinate and line produce productions. Widget seller, hat swapper and bottle washer; sometimes known as ‘crew mom’. Most recently I am also offering Facebook™ and Instagram™ ads strategy and management through my business Alicia Clair (aliciaclair.com). This pairs nicely with the producer role at Voortex and can be used with Video Deployment strategy as well.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California at Santa Cruz. Before working at Voortex, I was Managing Director at Artis (Icicle Arts), a Leavenworth nonprofit dedicated to arts education and advocacy. Other past chapters in life include Communications with Centricity Global, managing Snowcreek Health Center and Yoga Studio, Conferencing and Events at Sleeping Lady Resort, building websites with Gibbs Graphics, teaching English in Bali and traveling the world. I grew up in Ojai, California, and moved to Washington 2001 where I currently live with my partner, my two young sons, my father and two cats.

I appreciate the simplicity of nature, the wisdom of history, and the power of progress. I love to sing, songwrite and lead song circles, practice yoga, dance and hike. And talk. Some of my favorite talking topics are music (everything is a song lyric waiting to be sung!), dream analysis (I have powerful memorable dreams often), brain psychology (talk to me about amygdalas!), enneagrams (I’m a 7), travel adventures, new tribal villages, blockchain technology, education reform, holistic perspectives, empathy, and time travel.
